SANKARASRAMAM
GENERAL MESSAGE:
Hundreds of Buddha temples are being rennovated with the support of people in China. People are eagerly participating in rennovation work and morning prayer thousands of youngsters, particulary couples, are offering prayer. Very recently a group of Greeck professors also visitied Indian Institute of Scientific Heritage and discussed about filling the gaps existing in the Greek hstorical connections using Indian epics. They said majority of the greeck epics and historical literature have strong binding with Indian epics and puranas. They are also trying to connect the thread of their past with the present using the Indian knowledge. Fortunately for Indians, almost everything from the past is available now also. We have only to remove the dust from that, clean them , and present to the next generation. The world is accepting when we give with devotion, dedication and sincerity.
MESSAGES FOR PARENTS:
When I met a group of parents in Kollam they told me that their children are being taught the negatives about Hindu dharma in the christian shools. The christian teachers denigrate Hindu deities, books, puranas, and so on. The young students are told that for getting good marks, they should pray only Vigin Mary and Jesus. Hindu gods are sataans and should never pray to saatans. The pictures of chrstian saints are given for prayer. They were told that if they pray to Hindu gods, the chrstian god will get angry and curse them. This will result in the failure in exams
MESSAGES FOR TEACHERS:
The teachers' role comes ‘between the books and students’. The books contain information, the teachers should convert that into knowledge before transfering to the students. Information converted to knowledge and then to wisdom. This conversion of information into knowledge depends on the ability of the teachers. People are interested to listen the messages if it conveys knowledge.. In short efficincy and effectivelness are needed while conveying the messages. A teacher is known as a teacher because he/she has taken the dharma of ‘teaching’. Getting an appointment as a teacher should never create disappointment for the students. A teacher is always a student and a student need not always be a student.
MESSAGES TO THE STUDENTS:
It is told in sanskrit that ‘aachaaryaat paadam aadatthey paadam sishya swamedhayaa paadam sa brahmacharibhya sesham kaalakramena cha:’ =The student can get only one quarter of the needed knowledge from the teacher, the second quarter, he has to make by himself, the third quarter from the colleagues and the last quarter during the process of marching forward in the life. So the teacher should remind the students that the students will not get everything from the teachers, part they have to make by themselves.
HERITAGE MESSAGE:
We, in india always used to say for every action there is an equal and opposite reachtion to be experiened by the actor but in the west they say that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. In the west they say, survival of the fittest, where as in India we say survival of the gloriest. So learn our heritage messages and integrate them with the modern knowledge. That is the modern trend. Recently it has been told that Bhagavath geetha based management i.e dharma management is becoming the core of the modern management system. Learn as much as possible from Indian knowledge and practise in your life.
