THURSDAY MESSAGE (SERIES NO. 326)
GENERAL MESSAGE:
Indian heritage messages are those written by hundreds of Rushies.
Those Rushies have expressed their views, visions, opinions and remarks
about each subject and each aspect in their writings. They might also
have suggested in different ways/ languages, the same subject. It is
like the same rose flower is explained by different people in different
way. Even the wordings and contents may vary even though it is about the
same flower. This is because there existed freedom of expression
without fear inside. They submitted their views, even opposite views
without fearing the most authoritative scholar, nor kings. Thus we
have thousands of books written by thousands of Rushies, in thousands
of subjects for the last many thousands of years.
MESSAGES FOR
PARENTS:
Recently I had taken a study class in one of the reputed
engineering colleges in Kalady and the audience were the new students
and their parents numbering about 1,200. I was explaining for 90 mins,
only about the role of the parents and the behavior of their children
(students) in their homes and outside. At the end I repeated the role
of mother and father in binging the children up giving them good body
and good mind. To our wonder we found that more than hundred parents
came to meet me within a span of 5 mins and express their gratitude and
said ‘ if we would have got these messages earlier, our family would
have been in a different level by now. We did not know that these are
the pathways that we should have adopted for bringing our children up ”
I wish to tell all the parents ‘better late than never’ . Teach them
values and teach them modern knowledge. Let them get integrated messages
of old and new. Let them be good and great.
MESSAGES FOR
TEACHERS:
Teach the subject to the students by mixing the good modern
knowledge and good old knowledge. Repeat each paragraph in different
ways and make them answer few questions from each paragraph you
explained systematically. Make the subject thorough. What you taught
them should be remembered for ever. Repeat once again next day.
MESSAGE TO THE
STUDENTS (and techers):
Learn by mixing good old knowledge and good
new knowledge. Example; if you are learning the iron metallurgy, learn
about Delhi iron pillar and also Dhar iron pillar. If you are
learning/teaching them about the circles in geometry, teach them about
the circumference, diameter, area and chord of a circle explained by
Aryabhatta also. If you teach/ learn about mind, teach them also the
Upanishadic messages on mind. When you are learning or teaching about
earth, know about what ancient Indians have said about spherical shape
of earth, its rotation, revolution, declination, latitude and
longitude and so on also.
HERITAGE MESSAGE: :
Always try to understand something new everyday. Know the new with
the old particularly about the heritage of India. Learning the new and
old together will be very interesting. You can get those knowledge
from television, newspaper, magazines, or during discussions. Today I
found that more than a thousand Arabs sitting in the huge auditorium in
Puttaparthy, the abode of Sathya Sai Baba and participating in the
prayer. This is something unbelievable to anyone. Remember, Muslims
from Arabia coming to Puttaparthy and participating in the prayer is
something great and that we can be proud of. Here comes the mixing of
the Arabian and Indian
